Raised on a small farm, Elizabeth learned early the value of hard work and practical solutions.
Big-City Expertise
She spent most of her career in Chicago working with international businesses and nonprofits, sharpening her skills in communication, strategy, and leadership development. Executives relied on her for clear insights and strategic advice.
Creative Problem Solver
As a communicator, she once made root canal treatment newsworthy—producing patient education that aired on the Today show and appeared in People magazine (including a feature about a panda who needed a root canal).
Community Champion
Throughout her career, she has guided organizations to raise more than $72 million for capital, research, education, social service, and development projects. When she returned to her rural hometown, she saw the struggles of small towns and earned her MBA to help local businesses and nonprofits thrive.
She has since:
• Coached job seekers to find dream jobs, even during the pandemic
• Helped a small-town co-op secure a $2.4 million grant to open a grocery store in a food desert
Beyond Business
Elizabeth is also a proud mom to Eli and wife to Mark. Her experience has given her deep insight into the real-world challenges of balancing work, family, and personal growth. She also volunteers on local boards, writes, acts, sings, plays the flute, and studies Japanese—always learning, always growing.
